This much loved "Pimento-red" Triumph Stag has now been sold. However, there has been so much interest in this vehicle and so many visitors to this page that I have put up some more photos for you to look at. Please enjoy!

This Stag was faithfully maintained in original condition and driven by one careful lady owner for the last eighteen years. It was first registered in 1975 and was showing around 20,000 kilometres on the odometer at the time of sale. It was insured with Shannon's for $20,000.00 and registered until April 2002.

Vehicle History

   Engine and Transmission

The engine has been regularly serviced and is in excellent condition. The engine was rebuilt by the Triumph specialist, Power Tune Motors of Norwood, approximately 50,000 kilometres ago in 1995. The vehicle is fitted with a durable stainless steel exhaust.

The four speed manual transmission, with electric overdrive on third and fourth gear, performs faultlessly.

   Body and Paint work

The vehicle has been parked under cover for most of its life and the bodywork is in very good to excellent condition. It was repainted in 1996 in original Pimento Red by Ken Langley using Dulux 2K paint (suitable for the harsh Australian sun light).

   Interior

The black trim and interior is also in excellent condition. The dashboard, console & visors were refurbished by Dash Originals in 1996. The front Seats and head rests were also refurbished by Libra Motor Trimmers around the same time and the carpets were replaced.

The Hard Top lining was replaced earlier and is in very good condition. The Soft Top lets you make the most of balmy evenings. And although the colour of the material is looking a little faded, it operates faultlessly and is quite rain proof.

   Miscellaneous

  • Workshop manual included
  • Retractable electric radio aerial
  • Wheeled Rack for easy storage of the Hard Top
  • Tyres in good condition
